Step Back in Time!
Now located at 8th and 2nd. Ave. at the Durango Arts Center in Downtown Durango, the world famous Diamond Circle Melodrama is a wonderful excursion back in time, to a bygone era of heroines, villains, and oh yes, the hero too.

Our cast of professionals from across the country is sure to please you. We have two special Entertainers at the piano this season. Scott Hagler returns again this season and he will tickle your funny bone with Novelty songs on the piano as well as old fashioned sing alongs for the entire family. Our Musical Director, Helen Gregory will entertain audiences for some performances with her unique brand of musical humor and a variety of piano stylings and sing-alongs

The Diamond Circle Melodrama celebrates its 47th season in 2008 as the premiere Melodrama company in the country. Authentic Melodramas dating from the late 1800's are presented from June 6 - August 30, 2008 nightly except for Tuesdays. Each show is followed by the famous Diamond Circle Vaudeville Revue.
Boo the Villain!
The show is known as 'The Melodrama' but you get a lot more than just a professional, fast-paced, high-energy production. You get beverages and popcorn served to you before the show and during the intermission by the very actresses and actors that may turn out to be the vilest villain or the sweetest ingenue on stage. You will be entertained at the same time by your host with a hilarious brand of music and comedy routines. And when the curtain goes down on the Melodrama you can still look forward to the Vaudeville Revue with its singing, dancing and comedy routines which will tickle your funny bone and touch your heart.
